A missing document does not mean you have to guess what is allowed. Choose “No / lost title” in the form and explain your situation before scheduling anything.
A lost title and someone else’s title are different situations
Tell us whose name is on the record and which ownership documents you have. Do not assume that possession of a car gives you authority to sell it.
Eligibility comes before pickup
Some transactions require replacement documents or additional steps. Missing-title purchases are not automatically eligible. We’ll review the vehicle and available ownership information first.
Mention any loan or lien
Disclose lender interests, unpaid financing or another ownership claim at the start. Submitting this form does not clear a lien, transfer ownership or authorize removal.
Keep sensitive documents off the form
Do not enter ID numbers, financial account details or title-document numbers. We’ll discuss the documentation needed for your situation separately.
